The Central Massachusetts Convention and Visitors Bureau welcome journalists and members of the media. We are happy to offer story ideas and assist in providing access to information and photographs of the region. Central Massachusetts is “the Heart of New England” and easily accessible to a plethora of interests and budgets. There are endless choices for sightseeing, shopping, cultural and sporting events, family-friendly activities, tours and nightlife. The Central Massachusetts Convention and Visitors Bureau often hosts members of the travel media who are working on feature stories about and editorial coverage of the Central Massachusetts region. Media familiarization trips organized by the CVB are available upon request for staff travel writers and editors, freelance travel writers on assignment and members of travel-related TV and radio programs, nationally and internationally.
Depending on the nature of the assignment, we can assist with accommodations, suggest itineraries, provide passes to attractions, images, fact sheets and more. Please note that all arrangements are provided through the discretion of our members and are subject to availability and interest of each facility. Blackout dates may be experienced during the year, which may necessitate a press rate, especially for accommodations.
